Happy New Year!

I opted to stay home with my daughter last night and watch the ball drop on TV instead of going out. In typical fashion I passed out on the couch long before midnight. I woke up to find this note from my daughter by my head:

Translated? "Dear Mom, I want to know how it feels to be treated like an adult. If I don't like it, I will tell you and you can treat my like a kid again. Just tonight, if I tell you I'm going to take a shower or bath, I'm going to do it, ok?

Love, Jade
P.S. I cleaned the toilet already"

OMGosh! So cute and funny!
Isn't it sweet to see your kids growing up...but not too fast and in their own way? I have a 15yo, a 16 yo and an 18mo niece in the house. Kids always amaze me :)
